Umdoni Municipality has a total of 9 operational libraries with Vulamehlo library being the new addition located in Dududu. The Scottburgh, Ifafa, Sezela, Pennington, Park Rynie libraries are situated along the Coast whilst Shayamoya, Vulamehlo, Malangeni & Umzinto are situated further inland. Our public libraries are more than just books and banks of computers. They are places where individuals gather to explore, interact and imagine. Our libraries add value to our communities and serve as cultural centres for our diverse patrons. They build citizens, they educate individuals and communities, they are also essential components of our community. Umdoni libraries provide resources and services in a variety of media to meet the needs of individuals and groups for education, information and personal development including recreation and leisure.
