The Parks and Gardens Section is Responsible for:-

 

·       The Development & Maintenance of Parks

·       Road Verges

·       Traffic Islands

·       Recreational Areas

·       Other Public Open Spaces

·       Provision & Maintenance of Cemetery Space

The municipality has 4 cemeteries in; Park Rynie, Scottburgh, Kelso & Shayamoya. Umdoni Parks & Gardens Section is also responsible for Cutting Grass, cleaning of surface drains, Trimming of Trees, removal of trees, cutting back Alien Plants and Bushes.
